There is just something so sweet and lovely about having your photos taken outdoors when everything is in bloom and Mother Nature is showing off. These photos were taken at The National Arboretum and Kingman Park in Washington, DC and I love their vibrancy. When thinking about getting your headshots taken - think about what you want to convey. Do you want or need to look serious and authoritative? Do you want to look fun and approachable? All of those things are possible with the right amount of planning and thought.

It is also worth noting that headshots should look like you do. So if you make sweeping changes to your appearance - or too much time lapses - it’s probably time to update them. Iphones are so great and they take great photos but a good photographer can help you put your best self forward.
