Nick + Erin | VMFA Richmond, VA Wedding Photographer

I want to tell you that all day before Nick and Erin's really lovely and traditional Catholic ceremony the sky was threatening. We stayed optimistic and dry but when it was time to take photos post ceremony it was wet and so, so cold. I have to give credit to both Nick and Erin for smiling and being troopers even though the day didn't go the way Erin had meticulously planned. This is a valuable lesson in wedding planning - be flexible and ready to roll with the punches. Weather, like life, is unpredictable and you'll be happier if you have a backup plan and lean into just letting your day unfold in spite of any hurdles.Erin's dress was worn by both her grandmother and her stunning Mom and I love the undercurrent of old Hollywood that ran through their day. Their reception was at The Science Museum of Virginia in Richmond and it was SUCH an amazing venue - moody and intimate and just so lovely.
