I really to think that giving yourself the gift of an updated headshot is incredibly important. Of course I’m biased but let me lay it out for you. We always want to be putting our best selves forward. Ideally, that best self is now and not a photo from a cell phone taking a decade ago before you cut your hair, found your style, or your body changed.

Headshots are great not just for your linkedin profiles or social media but for your website. Also - if you’re a professional person who ever speaks when they travel - it’s nice to have a current (and beautiful!) photo to be able to give to represent yourself in lieu of the kind of photos mentioned previously.

Lastly - HEADSHOTS DON’T HAVE TO BE BORING! In fact - they should reflect your personality while staying in line with your profession/professional goals. You want to show people an essence of who you are and that means wearing color, or the funky socks!
