Sam + Katie | HISTORIC LONDON TOWN & GARDENS WEDDING

Sam and Katie’s beautiful wedding at Historic London Town & Gardens started out warm and sun-filled. By the time they were at the alter, the sky opened up and we all collectively ran for shelter. I never saw either of them stop smiling. I’ve been to a lot of weddings. A LOT.

My goal is to always go into them with the energy of it being my very first one because I never want to get jaded about seeing two people making such a major commitment. And still, I was not prepared for how emotional I would feel at pretty much every point of the day with these two. Did I smile endlessly? Yep. Did I cry multiple times? Sure did.

If you know me you’ve heard me say frequently how I know how lucky I am to get to do this job and people like Sam + Katie help me get that acutely in focus.

Weddings have a tendency to feel harried and slightly chaotic and when I think back to this day all I feel is peace and happiness that these two were able to have this amazing day surrounded by people who love them. What an incredible joy!
