When of the questions that comes up the most during session planning periods is where to take photos? That question doesn’t have a definitive answer but a multilayered one. WHERE we take photos depends on if you’re looking for more environmental (trees, flowers, water) or a more architectural backdrop. It also depends on what time of day your session needs to happen.

When you inquire about a session I will always ask if you have ideas for where you’d like to be photographed and offer suggestions if you don’t. It is important to note that we want to try to have your session in the most ideal light so that means the first hour after the sun rises or the last hour before it sets. That DOES have some flexibility depending on the where but as a general rule, they go hand in hand.

DC and the surrounding areas has such a variety of places to have your session so if you were thinking about possibly maybe reaching out - do it now!
