Virginia | WashingtoN, DC Portrait Photographer

Shortly before Miss Virginia celebrated her 80th birthday - her family gifted her a session with me. On a pretty muggy DC day, we ventured out and captured these images. One of my favorite parts of this job is getting to hear the stories that people share with me. Learning about what you do, what lead you to be in front of my camera and all the little bits and pieces in between. Fun fact about Virginia? She used to read fingerprints for a high-level government agency by hand. BY. HAND. These photos are just so incredibly sweet and charming and perfect to me. All walks of life are worth honoring and celebrating. You can take photos because it's your birthday, because you got a new job, because you got engaged or simply because you want to. There are no rules, and there shouldn't be.
