D + S | Takoma Park Washington, DC Wedding
D and S’s wedding felt so quintessentially DC to me. They got married at The Takoma Park Gazebo surrounded by friends and family and despite it being smack dab in the city – it felt so intimate and special in every way. Post wedding – everyone walked over to Takoma Beverage Company (Takoma BevCo) which were absolutely some of my very favorite photos from the day.
This is one of those weddings that really embodies the spirit of your day being exactly how you desire it to be. Do you want to focus on food? Do you want to dance? Do you want to be able to talk to everyone in attendance? Those are important questions to ask yourself when you’re planning the day. My job is really to document the day no matter how it unfolds. While I adore taking photos of couples – if that isn’t the most important part of the day for you and your person? It’s not the most important part of the day for me.
When you’re searching for a photographer – you’ll see lots of posts like many of the ones on my own website that are a dearth of posed couple portraits and I LOVE those but that’s not what everyone desires. We can spend as little as 5 or 10 minutes doing couple photos (or zero!) and you will have plenty of memories. If you are a shy person? Not a problem -my goal is always to make it easy and to help you get from point a to point b quickly.
