I absolutely and unequivocally encourage you to allow your children to show up to your session as their authentic selves. To let them choose what they want to wear – to let them make faces at the camera – to just let them be. I’ve found over time – that when they don’t feel pressured to sit still or be pristine – they actually end up being quite perfect. The reminders of who they are in these sweet, young years is so much more valuable than having a “perfect” photo.
